Not having lived enough to feel the need for security through bonds or ties to others, she cherishes her freedom and hates being tied down to anything or anyone through obligations such as debt or duty. However, her naivety makes her optimistic and carefree and, though she acts friendly, sometimes it can be confusing to others if she is being serious or not about anything. Despite her optimistic attitude, Theia is almost always sparing a thought to the purpose of her stay in Helovia, and insecurities plague her more often than not. She loves her magic and feels blessed by it, but sometimes she can't help but wonder why it was given to someone like her. She often feels like she has something to prove, having no confidence in her personality or abilities, so if she says she will do something she'll always give it all her effort even if it ends up hurting her physically or otherwise. history The Past : Theia originates from a nomadic pegasus herd that has magic running deep in their veins, where most individuals have at least a small spark of magic. Some, having enough power to allow them control over an element with enough training, become part of the Guilds, which provide necessary resources and support for the tribe. However, as of the last few generations, there had been fewer members being able to attain the level of power of the Guild members. As a result, of those that were accepted into the Guild, there were some who saw themselves as being above the tribe and began to cause trouble in the once harmonious herd. The matter was settled by the Elders of the tribe but the lesson had been learned about Pride and the damage it could do. So, with each new year, tribe members that were on the brink of maturity each had to leave their family behind. For a year they had to live on their own, finding their own place where they could learn how to support themselves and discover the purpose behind their own individual magic. When their year was up, they could return and face judgement by the tribe and, if they were deemed ready, take their place in the Guild. Isilme : magic Light : Theia has the ability to siphon the light around her into an object that she chooses. By doing this, she can either bestow the characteristic of luminescence - meaning it will give off it's own light - or iridescence - changing colour depending on the angle of the light. Which characteristic is given depends on the light available - moonlight will give iridescence and sunlight will give luminescence. How long the shine will last is up to how much light she stores within the target and how hard she focuses while using it. Using her ability she is able to constantly keep a store of light in her body, which she can use to make her mane or wings glimmer gently. Growth : If she ever upgrades her magic then it will enable her to create stand-alone balls of light that she can move at will as for now she can only use existing structures to store light. Battle : This allows for an intense light which can distract and even temporarily blind an opponent, often thwarting an attack or dodge. |
