[atrb=width,400] The Windtossed Foothills are to be a heard of equality and peace. Though these goals cannot be achieved without some sort of order, as such the following rules will be implemented and carried out with a matching punishment for disobedience. .::Herd Rules::. 1. The Foothills are a haven. As such a place, all races within the herdland's borders are to be treated equally: Equine, Unicorn, and Pegasi alike. 2. Tolerance is to be practiced with every race. You need not love the race, but merely treat them as you would another of your own race. 3. No horse shall commit murder, injure, or sexually assault another. 4. All members are to be loyal to the herd and it's inhabitants. 5. All new herd members should meet with Gossamer before being told any specific details about the herd. 6. All serious disputes are to be handled by a Judge, Gossamer, Smoke, or Indy. - All rules are in place for the safety and betterment of the herd. If any horse breaks a law, depending upon the severity, they may be subject to a Trial of the Judges and then be assigned punishment accordingly. - If any horse commits a crime 3 times and, even after carrying out their punishment, commits another, they will be made and Untouchable. - Note: Anyhorse found to have knowledge of a serious offense and whom did not tell a Lead or Judge may also be subject to Judgement. .::Punishments::. - Punishments will never cause your character physical harm. -Punishments may vary so long as they stay within the general categories listed below. However, please note that inventiveness is encouraged with sentencing so they will not always be the exact sentence listed below. Laws 1 and 2: Minor Offense: Official apology or something of the sort. Major Offense: Assigned task or work with or for offended race Law 3: Minor Physical Harm: A "Minder" to follow around the offender for up to three threads. Murder or Sexual Assault: A Minder, a trip to the gods to beg forgiveness, or even exile. Laws 4 and 5: Minor Offense: A Minder for up to three threads Major: "Herdland Arrest", a horse cannot leave the herdland for up to three threads or could be confined to an area, possibly even guarded. Untouchables: If your horse commits a crime more than three times they will become and Untouchable. These horses are not allowed to breed, spar, or steal. They must also work the menial tasks about the herdland such as cleaning or maintenance(you may decide what the various tasks are,to encourage creativity). They will be checked in on by warriors often to make sure they are not commiting more crimes. The title may be removed with an Appeal and if clear evidence is seen that a horse's character has truly changed. Please Note: The laws are for serious offenders. If Billy steps on Bobby's hoof and doesn't want to say sorry that is not an offense. If Billy stepps on Bobby's hoof, doesn't say sorry, proceeds to racist commentary, and attempts to kick Bobby in the face, then that will count as an offense. Think real life. If you yell or trip someone you don't get charged with anything. If you hit or yell racist slurs though, you can be charged. .::Trial::. - Minor Offenses: These may be carried out by one judge alone or all three, if requested by the offender. - Major Offenses: All three judges will be present as well as a lead. - All leads, Gossamer, Smoke, and Indy have the final say in a trial. |
