...::Get Me Closer To You Butterfly::... She tread softly with her thin frame. Slightly emaciated....but in a flattering way...Anthym's black form tread through the dense trees of World's Edge which reminded her of her home, or what Noise had told her of it: the Woodlands. Her crown was raised and the two glass spirals of black green glinted in the sunlight as she walked. It was glorious here, she thought, and though it was chilly out she didn't mind for snow was what she lived on. The ice peaches which were woven into her mane, like sparkling crystal vines, were a testament to this fact as they bounced against her mane as she walked. Her stride was careful but instead of smooth she bounced along, as if to her own internal rhythm, and her expression was vibrant and lively as she gazed about for somehorse for which her eyes could rest upon.
However, at the moment, it didn't seem like she would see anyhorse here. There was no scent but the smell of peaches, which often went hand in hand with her presence, and no tracks lay in the snow. She had been certain that only moments ago she had smelled several horses and this fact confused her slightly. But then she thought back to the rude imbecile in the Dark Place who hadn't helped her out and decided that if she didn't meet a soul she supposed that would be ok too, for horses were not always kind.

LOTUS A woodland in full colour is awesome as a forest fire, in magnitude at least, but a single tree is like a dancing tongue of flame to warm the heart.

[/div]
[cs=2]
[atrb=width,500] Having recovered from my long and tiring journey, I wandered the forested lands that were now my home. I was confident in my stance, having been awarded the rank of warrior upon my entry, I meant to follow the tasks assigned to my role diligently; patrolling the borders, making my presence known amongst my herdmates, and eventually venturing out and recruiting new members. Unicorn only were welcome within these lands, a concept I was familiar with. Though my family herd never enforced such a thing, it simply was not an issue – where I came from, there simply weren’t any other species close enough for our paths to ever cross. But I had travelled far and wide to get away from all that now – I must train myself not to see Jereh’s lifeless face stare blankly at me every time I think of home.
Squashing away those thoughts I strode through the lands, listening to the comfortable hum of the trees. The seasons were changing, but there were many areas where snow still made its presence known upon the loam. I welcomed the change of season, I looked forward to the time where the flowers in my mane and tail might share the company of fresh wildflowers. The large lotus flower that so often adorned my tiara seemed to breathe a new life in the changing of the seasons – indeed my inherent magic was heightened in spring time when my own body’s pores allowed my natural fertile aromas to permeate the lands. But today was not one of those days, fortunately. Today was just another day of possessing magic that made the opposite gender become hopelessly infatuated with me.
Inadvertently I was following a scent. It was a fruity, colourful scent, one that asked me to follow it, though I was a mere passenger to my hooves. By the time I realised I was indeed tracking a young mare, I saw what appeared to be a wraith ahead. She was like a small porcelain doll, so fragile and thin, and she looked as if a gentle breeze might knock her over, like an autumn leaf after a long summer. But I could see a silent peacefulness about her, a charming and endearing quality that lulled me closer. She was female, and that made me feel immediately comfortable with her – no, I was not attracted to her like that, but it was difficult for me to train myself to see the male gender as anything but donors for the next generation.
“Hello,” I spoke kindly, warmly, a smile adorning my façade. “I am new here, my name is Lotus. Who are you?” I was eager for company, eager to make friends. I missed my sisters and aunts and cousins so terribly, I longed for their companionship once more. We were a large family group back home… No I mustn’t think of them, I am here now, I will not be dragged down that dark memory lane again.

[cs=2] The Earth laughs in flowers. ...::Get Me Closer To You Butterfly::... The delicate black mare had not bounced along long before she smelled the very faint scent of a mare moving behind her in the springtime snow. So she stopped bouncing and turned about to wait for her tracker to emerge from the budding brush. Excited at the upcoming encounter, the scent of peaches around her increased to pleasantly strong as a small amount of sweat was emitted, but not overpowering or unpleasant. The mare who rounded the corner was pretty and she smelled pretty too, just like her. When the mare's eyes met her frame, it was obvious for a moment that she was stunned before she shrugged it off. Anthym couldn't tell if this was because she looked skinny-pretty or just too thin. Most likely the latter; she had been doing far to much Ice-Tree Growing lately.
Then, suddenly, the mare introduced herself kindly! She hadn't scared her away or been too loud! This was good. Now, she only had to remain calm and perhaps they could have a conversation which would result in...if she was really lucky...getting the mare to take a peach! She even had a sweet peach with low concentrate healing on her right now. It would mostly just be a sweet treat and taste good but the only others she had were high concentrate healing and had little flavor and it wouldn't do well to give her one of those now would it? She was brought from her momentary contemplation as the Lotus finished introducing herself. In turn, she replied in her sweet musical voice, " Pleased to meet you, I am Anthym and I'm relatively new here as well. I can't help but say that Lotus is a lovely name. Have you met the lead of this land yet? " Her voice was curious and obviously enthusiastic but still held the music and peace she'd gotten from her glowing sire. She thought of him in bittersweet terms still, the thoughts of a barely adult mare she supposed, but perhaps not. Now was not the time though, she had a new horse to talk to!

[/div]
[cs=2]
[atrb=width,500] I was relieved when the raven one spoke back, allowing my gaze to wander over her form curiously. The vibrant green markings upon her were different, but then, I was used to different. The tribal markings that made themselves evident upon my pelt since wandering into these lands reaffirmed the connection I felt with the God of the Earth, though these were lands blessed by the Moon, he still made his presence known by tattooing my hide. The plant marking upon my right shoulder spoke of the affinity for the earth I felt, the water droplets upon my left the life-giving substance we all required. I wondered what else might be in store for me should I prove myself worthy, and I looked forward to any challenges that might be set for me to meet.
The gentle creature before me replied in kind to my greeting, and my smile increased in warmth and honesty. Though she was quite frail-looking, there was a vitality within her, and her sweet scent suggested a strong affinity with the Earthern God – somehow I felt like we would get along. “Indeed I have, the FrostHearted one, as well as d’Artagnon, the Moon Doctor.” I tried my best to speak of them with respected tones, but I am sure a hint of dislike must have pinched my lips slightly, as if I was tasting something I didn’t quite like. I did respect them, truly I did, it was simply hard for me to accept them fully being the gender they were. I was so relieved to be speaking to a mare, and one who was so kind as to speak back, and who seemed to possess some kind of gifts from my chosen Lord.
“Anthym is a charming name,” I said, wanting to return the compliment she paid me. “I feel like the herd here needs inspiration of some kind.” Flicking my mane and swishing my tail, I look about the area, wanting to hurry Spring up in melting away any lingering snowdrifts. “Maybe you could help me think of ways to breathe some life into our home?”

[cs=2] The Earth laughs in flowers. ...::Get Me Closer To You Butterfly::... Lotus replied kindly and Anthym was visibly pleased at this new-found friend. How wonderful, she thought, to find such a kind horse!! It was lucky, though maybe here in this land many horses were kind? But Lotus's reply, tainted with a slight negativity, removed the thought of that possibility from her head. " Ahh, yes, well I have yet to meet them. I was here slightly before they appeared. Let us hope they prove their worth at their stations for there is not much more to hope for." she spoke with a lighthearted tone while implying that she understood Lotus's words. How unfortunate, she had so been hoping for a kinder world here. But then the mark'ed mare said something which perked her back up and made her chuckle. " Haha, well I would love to but I can only make Peach Trees from ice. So, I'm not sure how much that would help. Perhaps, if you added on your pretty flowers over the tree we could make things flower?" She said with a bright smile. Perhaps, perhaps, this mare would even take a peach from her as a gift!!!

[/div]
[cs=2]
[atrb=width,500] I was not a perfect being, that much was true. I could not let go of my prejudices so easily as I had hoped, but with every passing moment, I aimed to improve, and just maybe, one day, I would be able to view all stallions as I had viewed my beloved Jereh. But I still clung to the belief that perhaps he was the exception, he was blessed with the wits of a female, and was worth more to me than simple donation of genetic material. I sighed inwardly, berating myself for allowing my pesky prejudices to show before, I must do better to hide them – or even, get over them. But prejudices were prejudices, it was clear that most of the herd here held similar feelings against those who might lack horns or possess wings by their side. Having not yet met one such being, I withheld my judgement for now, though I did shudder at the thought of allowing one to breed with me. My King here seemed to want to impress upon me that they were as unworthy of my time as I considered most males to be – but I was reassessing that ideal now, and it made me reassess everything.
I listened to her closely, curious as to her status within the herd and what ideas she might have to getting some action happening within our glorious lands. I smiled as she spoke of her gifts, and my suspicions were confirmed, and with an enthusiastic glint I nodded acceptance of her idea. “What an enchanting idea!” I peered closer at the fruits lingering upon her mane, frosted by ice. “I would love to hear more about your magic – is that why you are so finely built?” As far as she knew my flowers were all for decoration purposes, pretty though they were, they symbolised something far more sinister to me. They were a lure that only a few were gifted with in my homelands, they were bestowed upon me by the Earth God, and to those of the opposite gender, they permeated an irresistible scent. Among my homeland, they labelled me as one chosen to be a ruthless killer. But here, where I held the title of Warrior and served a King.. things were changing for me. ...::Get Me Closer To You Butterfly::... Then, the mare hit the motherlode of all questions to ask the black daughter of Noise: hear more about her magic? Dear yes, she could hear more about her magic!!! Thin little Anthym was about to explode from happiness as she smiled brightly at Lotus and began, " Oh of course!!! My magic is, indeed, the cause of my thin frame. Though, unfortunately, right now I'm more so than usual because I've been using it so much as of late." she said in her rich, smooth voice, by way of explanation of her thinness. Her eyes were brilliantly shiny as she explained this with such obvious joy.
She shifted her beauteous, frail frame and continued somewhat tentatively at first before picking up a bit of pace, " But the peaches, you see, are healing peaches which give a boost of energy if one isn't injured. Therefore, the peaches need to have loads of calories and substance in them to be able to heal, so the magic converts all the food I eat into the substances for the peaches....ahh, I'm sorry for talking so much. But you could try one if you like? " She felt like she had been rambling, as indeed she had, so a somewhat embarrassed expression was visible upon her young visage as she asked the last question somewhat shyly. None-the-less, her emerald eyes were still twinkling with that happiness at talking to another so kind, her slick black hide shining in the sun. Though Anthym was a mare who preferred the company of stallions, certain mares as pretty as this one, with her flowers in her hair and her tribal markings, always made her want to blush.

[/div]
[cs=2]
[atrb=width,500] The naïve way in which the obsidian one launched into her speech caused a smile to peruse my lips. Her happiness was contagious, and I was reminded by my sisters from home, the fun times we had. I was comforted by the fact that I might be able to find similar happiness here, in this new land. This little mare would hopefully be the first I could truly call a friend here in this new place, she seemed honest and was so enthusiastic about her magic. Based upon the information she so willingly provided, I felt like she would become a great Healer, and I made a not to mention as much to my King next time I crossed his path.
“I would be delighted to try one, it is very kind of you to offer.” I would of course, wait for her to pick whichever one she wished to give me – she had mentioned their different strengths and I didn’t wish to offend her by presuming I was free to take whatever I pleased from the icy clutches of her lovely mane. “You would make a fine Healer Anthym, if you don’t mind me saying so. I feel so much more at home here after having met you.” I smiled all the broader, finally allowing myself to relax for what felt like the first time since arriving in this realm Helovia. I was looking forward to tasting one of her peaches, curious of the affects it would have upon me.

[cs=2] The Earth laughs in flowers. I am the Woodland Nymph.

"Ok "[bg=857776][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true]
When the pretty mare agrees Anthym can do nothing but mentally restrain herself from squealing. Despite this, some excitement flows out in the form of a quick quiver of excitement and she replies musically, "Really? Hold on a moment and let me get one down. "
Some of the nearby bushes are already blooming with leaves and she looks around until she finds the largest leaf she can. Picking it, she turns back and puts it on the ground in front of Lotus and then chooses what peach she wants to give the mare. Upon a brief moment of contemplation she picks the clearest colored ice-peach she has. It was made to taste wonderfully sweet and melt in one's mouth like the most delicate of ice-creams. The peach is also one which has a milder form of healing in it and while certainly tasting good, will only give a small energy boost with its vitamins.
As soon as she's decided which peach to use she pulls a long tendril of ice from a nearby snowdrift and reaches it up into her mane, where picks the peach from its holding vines. Using the ice tendril like an arm and hand, she drops the peach on the leaf and then melts the end of the tendril over the ice peach to clean off any impurities. She then looks up at the flowering mare and chirps, " There you are, all clean and ready to eat. It should taste fairly sweet and have only a small bit of healing in it...so if you have a bruise or a small cut it'll heal it...otherwise you'll just get a small burst of energy from the vitamins." and with that she steps back from the ice peach to allow the mare a taste.

[/div]
[cs=2]
[atrb=width,500] I watch as she chooses a fruit, finding pleasure in her innocent happiness, smiling broadly as she presents me with a beautifully crafted edible sphere. She explains what it might do to me again, and I nod patiently, before bending my long, brown nape down to delicately bite into it. Pulling my lips back I toy with it briefly, then proceed to wrap my teeth around it, chomping it in half. The softened fruit tasted wonderful, it was true, and its texture was exquisite. I shut my eyes so to appreciate the experience wholly. I chewed slowly, savouring this half, before swallowing. As it travelled to my gut I felt its rejuvenating effects flow with it. It was not that long ago that I had run nonstop from my birthplace, I could feel even just this small portion have a positive effect. Without hesitating I bent again to consume the rest, this time relishing in the soothing effects it had. My entire bodice seemed to relax into itself, as if rebooting itself, and when everything did come back online, it was as if I had a fresh canvas to begin work on again.
“Thank you Anthym!” I speak enthusiastically, feeling wondrously brilliant. “Truly remarkable.” I give her a gentle, sisterly touch upon the nape in sincere gratitude. “Tell me more about yourself.” She was a fascinating young creature, one I very much wanted to gain the friendship of. I turn my tiara now, reaching for a flower that rests amongst the thinner end of my mane, near my withers. It is but a small one, the size of a dandelion, but it is blue in colour. I tug it gently free, and proffer it to her, wondering if she might accept this token of friendship from me.

[cs=2] The Earth laughs in flowers. I am the Woodland Nymph.
